When it comes to the Adidas clothing and shoe brand, only one word comes to mind, Classic. Adidas has been supplying not just the American people, but the world with this three-striped wonder since 1949.From the time they first arrived in our stores and onto our feet, up until now, the hype has never died down. People young and old are still into this fantastic sneaker that brings back memories of the 80's.
Old school Hip-Hop group RUN-DMC were known for busting out in their white Adidas with the fat laces. Kangols, Adidas sneakers and the sweat suits to match were a perfect set when it came to being fly and on top back in the 80's.
Recently Adidas celebrated 60 years of 'soles and stripes' by throwing an Adidas house party; old school style.
There was no need to break out thick gold rope chains and acid wash jeans for this one though; just clean good `ole house partying.
Guests ranged from Hip-Hip pioneers like Russell Simmons, musical artists like Missy Elliot and Katy Perry, to athletes David Beckam and Kevin Garnett.
Scenes and pictures from the party can definitely make someone feel like it was the party to be in. The whole event symbolized how so many people who do different things in their lives and careers can be united by something as small as a three-striped logo.
